The Sankranti (The transmigration of Sun)

Cold winter gradually fading into oblivion

paving the way for arrival of bright spring

 

Hopes are sprouting among the peasantry after the harvest

tender hearts with festive mood; cherishing to the fullest

 

The cheering sun is about to transmigrate to the Capricorn

so is the mind galloping forward, setting the past aside

 

Never loose the hope that life can get better

Let us celebrate this Sankranti with splendor
