On a summer night

As trees sway by the mellowed wind,

I sat alone; gazing the stars.

My thoughts intensified,

As the world gradually blurred;

My heart gets entwined with nature.

I missed it for a long while,

The dangling face of nature.

Enriched by its candied smile,

What a visual delight to stare upon

The full moon on a hot summer night.

Drenched in the brazen moonlight,

I quench my thirst for a poem;

Deep in the valley of my heart,

The budding seeds of emotion, sprout a little;

Stirring my mind and pen scribble gently

Let me write, until the dark hour of night

Then I let sleep to engulf me; like a baby

Whispering lullabies; as I dream cosy.
