Alone I wander

Alone I wander in the journey of destiny

Tender steps and bold leaps, I tread

Now in the middle of nowhere, to reckon with

Restless is my mind; drenched in pouring thoughts

That unearth memories of near and yonder alike

I sail through the horizon amidst the tides of time

Guided by a compass that points no North, but my heart

Murky clouds, dusky sun, treacherous waters

Chirping birds, mellow winds, shaded clouds

Gallant days and silent nights; what not have I seen

To where this journey leads and when I have to rest

For now, I steer through the swaying winds of destiny

Am I steering or getting swayed; I'm not sure

God! forsake me not and protect my course

As I wine and dine; Let the sun shine

For thine is the glory and the eternal reign

Awaiting the sun

I see the light on the horizon yet to find the ushering sun   I stand at the sea coast; gazing unfazed by cold wind of despair   Should I wait patiently for sun to arise or dare to swim until I've the sighting of it   Is the destiny predetermined or left for us to make our own   Time is slipping away but not my spirit and hope   Enough of this darkness Let there be light   (12th Jan 2015, Paris)
