Promise of Love

Beyond these tears

My gleaming smile

holds the promise of love

since the beginning of time…

 

Even though I'm alone now

my today is still shining

with the light of our yesterdays

like the very first time we spoke…

 

Alas! I remain blinded

loosing you among my memories

You brush past my face

like a cool tender breeze…

 

Like sunlight through the leaves

we may have slipped apart

But the promise of love

shall live on eternally…

 

Even though I'm alone now

boundless are my tomorrows

like the affection you showed

hidden amid mysteries of night…

 

Somehow I lost you; but,

in the treasure trove of my memories

in a child's tender laughter

in the scent of a flower

among the depths of the sky

You shall live on eternally…

So is my promise of love...
